Step 1: Install the Plugin

  1. Log into WordPress
  2. Click Plugins → Add New
  3. Search W3 Total Cache
  4. Click Install Now → Activate

Step 2: Turn On the Important Settings

Go to Performance → General Settings

Turn ON:

  • Page Cache → Enable
    • Method: Disk: Enhanced
  • Browser Cache → Enable
  • Minify → Enable (Auto mode)

Leave OFF:

  • Database Cache
  • (Optional) Object Cache unless advised

Step 3: Set Up Page Cache

Go to Performance → Page Cache

Make sure:

  • Cache front page → Enabled
  • Cache posts → Enabled
  • Cache pages → Enabled

Step 4: Set Up Browser Cache

Go to Performance → Browser Cache

Turn ON:

  • Enable gzip compression
  • Set expires headers
  • Set cache control headers

Step 5: Save & Clear Cache

  1. Click Save all settings
  2. Go to Performance → Dashboard
  3. Click Empty All Caches

⚠️ If Something Looks Broken

  • Go to Performance → General Settings
  • Turn OFF Minify
  • Save and clear cache again

✅ That’s It!

Your website should now load faster and perform better.
