How to Park a Call
- While you're on an active call, press the assigned Call Park button (its LED is green/idle at this point).
- The call is placed into that parking lot, and the LED turns red to show a call is waiting there.
- You can now hang up, walk away, or announce over the intercom/paging system which lot the call is in (e.g., "call for John, parked on Park 1").
The caller hears hold music while parked. If no one retrieves the call before the parking timeout (typically a couple of minutes), it will automatically ring back to the phone that parked it, so it's never silently lost.
How to Retrieve (Unpark) a Call
- From any phone that has that same Call Park button assigned (its LED will be showing red/blinking), just press the button.
- The call connects to your phone immediately — no dialing required.
If you're at a phone that doesn't have a dedicated button for that lot, you can still retrieve the call manually by dialing the parking lot number itself (for example, dialing 701 connects you to whatever is parked in lot 701).
If nobody retrieves the call in time, remember it automatically rings back to the extension that originally parked it — so check for a callback if a parked call seems to have "disappeared."
